The Life and Times of Sir Isaac Lane Templeton

Name: Sir Isaac Lane Templeton
AKA : Cannonball
isaac@poorrichkidsband.com

Place of birth: Cannonball, ND

I was born in Cannon Ball, ND as a very wealthy child, a descendant of Eli W Ellington who built his fortune by dominating the passenger rail system in the Midwest.  Eli’s intellect & vision started “The Cannonball Express”, an Illinois central passenger train that ran from Cannon Ball, ND to Chicago, IL and then on to New Orleans in the late 1800’s.  Eli was a shrewd businessman but through the years my family’s unique vision, talent and sense of adventure assisted us in several other business ventures that proved to be very lucrative.

I remember when my father built the Cannonball Country Club with a vast swimming pool.  It was beautiful and very ornate people came from all over the country just to be able to say they swam there.

Every year for my birthday my parents would throw me a huge pool party and every year we would have contests to see who could make the biggest splash.  I always won.  In 1975 I was crowned the “Cannon Ball King”.  It was a proud day for me and all in all my childhood was nothing but the finest.

When I was seventeen my parents past away unexpectedly.  I was left with a fortune but too young to handle such an immense estate.  The Courts trusted the estate to my Uncle who made several poor business decisions.  Later I found those “poor business decisions” were actually fake and my families fortune had been swindled and sent to a Swiss bank account (NOT in my name) with my Uncle fleeing the country just before he was indicted.

Just before I turned 21, I was left with just enough money which enabled me to buy an old van where I lived.  That is until PRK found me.  When we met I invited them to my “van down by the river” and offered them a glass of Cannon Ball wine as we sat and talked.  After a few bottles they knew I was just the right person to add to their band and here I am today.

Fall from Grace: I have to say that even though life doesn’t always seem fair, it is what it is! If it wasn’t for the paths I have taken I wouldn’t be where I am now. There are people that I hold very deep in my heart (you know who you are!) and without them my life as I see it would be very empty. Just remember…If you leave before you go, you’ll be there before you start. So why don’t you stay so you’re here when you get back!”

Likes: I love it when a plan comes together, especially musically. Great friends, cold beer, a warm sandy beach on the ocean, great music and of course…PRKv2!

Dislikes: I hate it when a plan doesn’t come together, especially musically. People who think they are better than what they really are.

Musical Influences growing upJoe Walsh, Eric Clapton, Stanley Clarke, Flea, Green Day…I guess I could go on and on. Really all music has its place. Oh yea…and did I mention Glen Campbell, who doesn’t like Glen Campbell! (What?)… Hold on a second… (Are you kidding? Seriously) Ok, maybe not Glen Campbell! These voices are driving me crazy!
